Why the Change to Waterborne Technology?

Fact:  Conventional solvent-based products in average release almost 10 times more solvents into the environment than water-based systems and increase the level of ground-level ozone.

 

Water-based solutions drastically reduce harmful emissions of solvents to internal and external environments, while offering the same or even superior end results. They are safer to work with and can be just as cost-effective as solvent-based products.

 

It is no longer necessary to endure the offensive odour, toxicity, and fire hazards of solvent-based 2-pack epoxy or polyurethane coatings to obtain the unique performance characteristics of such finishes. With Zeraus' novel water-based epoxy/urethane products, the combination of high performance and low hazard applications can now be achieved!  

As an added advantage, we have managed to greatly minimize or eliminate altogether the risk of allergies, skin rashes and irritations associated with solvents and harmful materials. This ensures safe handling and less hassle for contractors, plant workers & employees or even the neighbours in the homes where the products are used.
